The Timeless Way

Trying to express a sense of rootedness, examining the earth we are lodged in, what lies below the surface, the history of the place we are planted, trying to understand and express what has sweetened the soil or perfumed the air...

My heart goes out to all those in London and to people everywhere who suffer at the hands of terrorists

Regarding the bombings in London, Bush is on the radio now talking about this being the work of people with "eeevilll in their heart" "We will find them. We will bring them to justice." and ""We're winning because they're still fighting."

It's such a comfort to have a cowboy president who wears the white hat.

He blew the smoke from his gun, twirled it smartly and put it back in its holster before he swaggered off...never betraying the limp from falling off his bicycle again yesterday.

Oh Speechless, you are so funny.
My fear is that Bush will use this to get Rove and DSM off the news. He'll say this kind of terrorism is why we are fighting in Iraq.
We'll say he didn't make the world safer, and in fact, made it less secure by invading Iraq.
Either way, we're back to terrorism on the front page and that's Bush's calling card.
Can't we just send him on a nice long bike ride.

Yes, he's a defintely a terrorist himself on that bike!

I was shocked to discover that Ford and Guiness ( and surely Bechtel & Haliburton though I haven't checked into it) are co-sponsoring this G8 affair.

We really need to start looking around and asking ourselves who runs our nation. It doesn't appear to be "By the People & For the People" at all anymore.

Yeah, - it's bad, innocent people are murdered, their families lives are tragically impacted - and Bush gets to ride the Global War on Terror crazy-horse, for just a little bit longer.

It's a dance of death. We have no influence over the nutjobs who plant the bombs, but we do have influence over who leads our country.
